Tour overview
The Hermes is the most complete boat we sell. Super Deluxe category, and genuinely all-inclusive: the US$200 National Park entrance fee and the US$20 Transit Control Card are already in the rate, along with premium wines, beer and cocktails from the selected menu, minibar consumption, laundry, WiFi, butler service and the fuel surcharge. On most Galapagos cruises, in contrast, every one of those lands on your final bill.
The rate also covers water activities, with no rental desk: snorkel equipment, wetsuits, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. On board you also get cooking and cocktail lessons, and on the mainland you use the VIP area at the Galapagos airport.
Eleven programmes sail on the Hermes, from 4 days up to a 15-day A+B+C+D circumnavigation that touches every major visitor site: Genovesa, Fernandina, western Isabela, Española, Floreana, San Cristobal and the Santa Cruz highlands.

Itinerary

Day 1 · Monday: San Cristobal: Tijeretas Hill and Interpretation Center
Arrival at San Cristobal airport and transfer to the catamaran, then the Interpretation Center and the climb to Tijeretas Hill, where both frigatebird species nest above the bay.

Day 2 · Tuesday: Española: Gardner Bay and Suarez Point
The white sand and sea lion colony of Gardner Bay, then Suarez Point for waved albatrosses, blue-footed boobies, red marine iguanas and the blowhole.

Day 3 · Wednesday: Floreana: Cormorant Point and Post Office Bay
The flamingo lagoon and green-sand beach at Cormorant Point, then Post Office Bay and the wooden barrel where travellers still leave letters for hand delivery.

Day 4 · Thursday: Santa Cruz: Charles Darwin Station and departure
The Charles Darwin Research Station and its giant tortoise breeding programme, then transfer to Baltra airport.

Does the rate really include the National Park entrance fee?
Yes. On the Hermes, the cruise rate covers both the US$200 National Park fee for foreign visitors, or US$30 for Ecuadorians, and the US$20 Transit Control Card. It also covers the fuel surcharge and access to the VIP area at the Galapagos airport.

Does the rate include drinks?
The rate includes purified water, tea, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as a selected menu of premium wines, beer and cocktails, plus your minibar consumption. You only pay separately for alcoholic drinks outside that selected menu.

Do I have to buy my Galapagos flights with you?
Yes. The Hermes operator requires that Ecosportour issue the Galapagos flight tickets. If you buy them elsewhere, the operator charges a penalty of US$50 per person, billed directly to you.

How do tips work on board?
The rate does not include gratuities for the guide and crew. If you prefer not to carry cash, we can add US$70 per day to your invoice on request.

Is there a discount for children?
Yes. For every two adults, one child receives a 15% discount.

What does a single traveller pay?
A 50% single supplement applies, on the condition that two single cabins already hold bookings. Departures over Christmas and New Year also carry a 5% supplement.
