15 years running our own trips across the four regions of Ecuador, from our office beside the Basilica in Quito's Old Town.
Ecosportour was born in Quito as a local tour operator with one idea: travellers should book Ecuador directly with the people who run the tours. Fifteen years later, we still work that way. Because we operate our own services, the team that answers your first message also meets you on departure day.
We specialise in daily tours with fixed departure days, so we can confirm shared tours from a single passenger. Meanwhile, acclimatization, high mountain and trekking programmes run from two travellers. Also, we include 90% of the technical equipment, so you arrive light.
Years in the market also let us build our own fleet of buses and 4x4s. Then we opened two lodges of our own: Cuyabeno Dolphin Lodge, in the heart of the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, and Tena Lodge, near Tena. In short, owning what we operate keeps standards and prices under our control.
We cover Ecuador’s four regions: the Andes, the Amazon, the Coast as well as the Galapagos, with trips from a single day to fifteen. Also, every group travels with certified national guides, and our summit teams hold ASEGUIM certification. They are local, they know the ground, and travellers come back because of them.
The same team in Quito plans your trip, confirms it and then meets you on departure day.
Most importantly, we run our own services from start to finish. So one team answers your questions, takes your booking and is there on the ground.
First, our buses and 4x4s take you there. Then, in the Amazon, you stay at our own lodges: Cuyabeno Dolphin Lodge, inside the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve, and Tena Lodge, near Tena.
Above all, our national guides know all four regions of Ecuador. Also, on high mountain and climbing tours you go with ASEGUIM-certified guides, and we include 90% of the technical equipment.
Fixed departure days let us confirm shared tours from a single traveller. Meanwhile, acclimatization, high mountain and trekking depart from 2.
In short: no booking engine and no call centre. Instead, you write, we answer, and the same team meets you on departure day.
First, send us your dates, your group size and the tours you have in mind, on WhatsApp or through the contact form.
Then we confirm departure days, the price and what is included. Answers arrive within 24 hours.
After that, the same team that planned your trip is the one waiting for you in Quito.
For example, here are a few things you'll meet along the way: what people here make, wear and cook.
